Origin of Omega-3
It’s a common misconception that Omega-3 comes
from fish, but in reality, it’s microalgae that provide this
valuable nutritional source.
Fish and krill do not produce Omega-3 fatty acids
themselves. They obtain Omega-3 by consuming
microalgae.
Omega-3 thus originates in these tiny marine
organisms, which are at the base of the food chain and
therefore the purest form of Omega-3.
Answering the question “What if we went to the origin
of nutrients?”, marine Omega-3s lead us straight to
microalgae.
This approach, based on microalgae, also offers a major
advantage for the marine ecosystem.
Unlike extracting Omega-3 from fish, which can cause
environmental damage and threaten marine life, using
microalgae as a primary source of Omega-3 preserves
marine biodiversity and maintains the balance of ocean
ecosystems.
